I. Discipline introduction
Since 1990, we have successively offered undergraduate programs such as "information processing Automation" and "Financial Engineering". In 2011, the master's program of "Management Science and Engineering" was approved, and the doctoral program of "Management Science and Engineering" was approved in 2018. The faculty team is in the prime age of life: 86.67% of them are the young teachers under 45 years old, 100% of them have obtained a doctor degree, 60% of the teachers have overseas studying or visiting experience, more than 20 teachers have been enrolled in the New Century Millions of Talents Project, Jiangsu Province "333 High-level Talent Training Project" and etc. We have achieved remarkable achievements in scientific research. Our faculties have undertaken more than 40 national projects with a total research funding of over 30 million RMB, and have published 25 monographs. Most of works have been published in PNAS, OMEGA, EJOR and many other top journals. We have also won the 2nd prize of the Ministry of Education University Scientific Research Achievement Award and the 1st prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award. Currently, there are disciplines of manufacturing management engineering, optimization method and emergency decision, financial engineering, climate and environmental system management, supply chain management, information system and management and etc. This discipline ranks the top in the discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education. In addition, we have one of the first key research bases of university philosophy and Social sciences in Jiangsu Province, and co-built international cooperation platforms such as the Climate and Environmental System Management Research Center with Cornell University in US. In response to the recent national strategy, the new directions such as manufacturing intelligence, emergency logistics and disaster management, and climate and environmental system management have been proposed, to tackle the manufacturing management engineering issues.
II. Training objectives
The training objectives are as follows:
1. Ideological and moral requirements: master systematic political and ideological theories, firmly establish a correct world outlook and outlook on life, love the motherland, abide by discipline and law, have good moral character, rigorous style of study, strong ambition and professionalism, and actively serve the socialist modernization in the new era.

IV. Educational system and length of study
The length of study for doctoral students is 3 years. Students who have completed the required credits, completed the study plan in advance, and have excellent thesis level can apply for early defense and early graduation. For those who fail to complete the study or research tasks or attend the doctoral dissertation defense on time due to special reasons, the applicant should apply for an extension of the study period, the longest of which is 6 years, after being approved by the Graduate School and signed by his or her supervisor.
V. Curriculum and credits (refer to attached table for details)
VI. Cultivation methods and means
The supervisor responsibility system is adopted for the cultivation of doctoral students, and the method of guidance is the combination of supervisor guidance and the collective guidance of the supervisor group (3-5 persons), which shall give full credits to the enthusiasm of the supervisor, the supervisor group and the doctoral students. We implement the principle of teaching students according to their aptitude, adopt flexible and diverse methods, and advocate and encourage the interactions between related disciplines, to promote the development of emerging and edge disciplines.
The cultivation of doctoral students is mainly based on the scientific research projects of their supervisors, and during the process, they are expected to be engaged in scientific research and some paper writing works.
Doctoral students shall actively participate in academic exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, so as to broaden their scientific horizons and activate their academic thoughts.
